It’s Wednesday again and time to talk about the books we are all reading with our host MizB of Should Be Reading. Post a link to your blog or answer the questions in the comments below.
- What did you just finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you be reading next?

I just finished Revamped by Beck Sherman where vampires take over the United States and a few remaining humans try to take them down. Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost – super fun spin off from my the Cat and Bones books about Vlad (yes, Vlad Dracul) finding his gal. And last but not least Anna Dressed in Blood – about a young man (fun different perspective following a guy) who hunts and destroys ghosts who are killing people. YA but scary and tense.
I am currently reading 5 Moons of Tiiana by Paul Henry. I just started it, but there seems to be political intrigue and war and running for your life (so far). The writing is good and it is interesting, so that is good!
I am going to soon be picking up something silly and easy to read, I read a page of some Christmas romance thing I got free from Amazon, I think I will delve into that. I also just got All That We See Or Seem by Tempest C. Avery from Read it and Reap and need to post a review in early October. So that will be nextish.
What are you reading this week?

I finished The Shadow Year by Jeffrey Ford… It was ok :p
I’m currently reading A Critical Biography of Edgar Allan Poe
Next I hope to tackle Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler
Dang! The biography sounds interesting…I really don’t know that much about Poe and I have been meaning to read/reread some of his stories. It being near Halloween and all. Fun
you must tell me how you like Once Burned. I Love Frost books.
I enjoyed it…though I read another review and realized Vlad was missing his snark…he was pretty dang serious and the big issue was how cruel he is and needs to be. He doesn’t temper himself which was impressive, but I guess it was missing the humor which Cat & Bones have. But I still enjoyed it a lot! If she added the fun, humor element I might have died from the awesomeness.
I’ve never heard of these books, great covers!
I have to agree, there are some pretty covers in that group.
Well, Anna is definitely on my TBR. 5 Moons of Tiiana sounds intriguing, too, and I don’t often read SF.
My WWW includes a new contest and a request for feedback on bookcover styles. Hope to see you there!

This is weird. I’ve left comments on three blogs that I have commented before and none are showing up. I’m going to post this again here and hope it doesn’t eventually show up twice.
You’ve definitely convinced me to read Anna now. And Tiiana sounds intriguing, too. My WWW this week includes a request for feedback on bookcover styles and a new contest.

Okay, that time it showed up. Interesting.
I am having all sorts of issues with stuff like that as I comment – and I feel like I am not getting all my email notifications – I need to recheck my wordpress reader thing…blurgh
Ooh, great stuff

Such fun!
I have heard of the Once Burned and the Cat and Bones books from someone–I might have to to check those out. Is the Christmas book you got “Hunk for the Holidays” by any chance?

No, but that sounds cute! It is Bah, Humbug (A romantic something or other) Lady and son meet a single author they read together who at least from the first couple pages seems to have writers block…he needs inspiration… If you like urban fantasy and vamps – the Cat & Bones books are super fun!
Vlad was my favorite character in the Cat/Bones books. But after the disaster that was book 4 in that series I haven’t picked up a Frost book. But maybe I’ll give her spin off series a try…or at least this book in the spin off. Can’t wait to see what you think about 5 moons. =)
My WWW Wednesday is here.
LOL – I hear you about book 4, the last one was OK at best as well.
5 Moons of Tiiana looks amazing. I can’t wait to read your review!

So far I am having trouble keeping my hands off my reader! – it is an epic fantasy and the plot has gone off on a tangent and I still can’t help but want to read – crazy
