N is for Garth Nix

I haven’t read much by Garth Nix, but I LOVE his Abhorsen trilogy.  If you like high fantasy, adventure and coming of age tales, you might want to check them out.

Beyond the wall the dead can rise.  Beyond the wall magic is possible.  Beyond the wall great evil is stirring.  Sabriel becomes the Abhorsen, who puts the dead back to where they need to go.  Lirael lives with the Clayr (the seers) but has greater things in store for her.  And in Abhorsen great battles are fought and prophecy’s fulfilled.

What is your favorite fantasy series?  My other favorite would have to be the Belgariad by David Eddings.  Such good stuff!

About ocdreader

I love to read! I always have a book or four going, I have more books in my to-be-read pile than I can read in a year and yet I continue to haunt the bookstores. I have a problem, but I somehow soldier on. I enjoy talking books, so pass on your recommendations and thoughts - I would love to hear them.

Well, Boy Howdy! I like to read, too. In fact, have been reading ever since the age of six, and that means 73 years. Books have been my friends for many moons. 🙂 I will have to check on that series, friend. Best regards to you, Ruby aka Grammy
