Happy February everyone! Time to discuss what we are all reading and hopefully enjoying this week with our host MizB of Should Be Reading. What did you finish reading, What are you currently reading and What are you reading next?
I finished reading Feed by Mira Grant. It was really good. I liked the characters a lot and the story was NUTS! I also finished The Sisters Brothers by Patrick DeWitt which on the back says is cowboy noir and I have to agree. It is weird and funny and different and I enjoyed this book.
I am currently reading The Silver Thread and am back with my Balkan Magic buddies. I have two paperbacks to giveaway from Emigh Cannaday and will post that in the next couple of days, be sure to come back to enter! I am also still making my way through Baby, You’re as Sweet as 3.14159 by HogWild. I am also reading and almost finished with Michael Cargill’s soon-to-be-published YA story, which is super fun because I am learning English slang. I also started The Violets of March by Sarah Jio – it is good so far.
One of the next books I am going to read is Dragonswood by Janet Lee Carey – I have heard good things so I am really looking forward to it.
What are you guys reading this week?
The cover of Dragonswood is beautiful! Happy Reading 🙂

I know! I want to read it just to look at it some more. haha
Wow, I love the cover of Dragonswood! I haven’t heard of any of the books you listed!
Here’s my WWW Wednesdays Post

It is a pretty random and eclectic selection 🙂
Ok, I’ve moved the Sister Brothers up on my queue and have also added the Violets of March. 😉
lol – I hope you enjoy both! Violets is good and contemplative right now, i really want to keep reading! The main protag found a mysterious diary that somehow links the past to the present… 🙂
I love the covers of Feed and Dragonswood! I’m going to go look them up on Goodreads and probably add them to my ever-growing TBR list! Here’s my WWW
That is the danger of this meme, you find way too many good things to read!! 🙂 Hope you enjoy them too
Just finished Germ by Robert Liparulo. It’s an “oldie” from 2006…just yesterday, right.? Found at a Goodwill store, cover so engaging we couldn’t leave it on the shelf. I really enjoyed the book …worth finding. The premise is that the Ebola and several other viruses are man-made for germ warfare. Of course, one really bad guy figures out how to encode the virus with DNA he obtains from the PKU cards with which all newborns are tested, and not safely stored. The virus can be released, causing only a bad cold, until it finds the DNA matches, and Ebola then kills the victim. A mystery, science, little bit of romance…and lots of action.
I can’t wait to read it! 🙂
They all have awesome book covers. And I’m amazed at how much you actually read. I don’t think I can ever catch up!

I was not expecting to, but LOVED “The Sisters Brothers.” However, I loathed “The Violets of March.” I did not make it all the way through. Too many cliches. It bored me.

Sisters Brothers was awesome. Yea, I can see why you grew bored with Violets…but I haven’t read anything like this in a long time and it is quiet and reflective and easy…which says something about me I am sure! lol
I really like the FEED cover and I always love a ‘nuts’ story so I’m putting this on my TBR list 😉
I hope you like it, it is the first in a trilogy 🙂 I am excited to pick up the next one
So exctied to see what you thought of Feed. still need to read that one. Dragonswood looks good too.
The Sister Brothers sounds good! Thanks for stopped by to read my list.
I added Feed to my list! Definitely looks interesting!
