Holy cow, it is Wednesday already?! Where did the week go? Well, by that opening you have to know I didn’t get much reading done but am going to join the game late and play along with you and MizB anyway because that’s how I roll.
I finished reading Big Trouble by Dave Barry (and that was last week!).
I am currently reading Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon which is a good story though the writing throws me off a little bit and I am a few chapters into Deadline (Newsflesh Bk 2) by Mira Grant which is so crazy and good! I didn’t bring Infinity with me to San Diego because it was a hardcover and I didn’t get to read much anyway because I was hanging with sales dudes. I am sooooo tired!
Up next I am picking up a couple I set down because I have been unorganized. I can’t remember what they are right now because there are just too many to think about, it stresses me out. 🙂 What are you guys reading this week?
I’m re-reading Dead Zone by Stephen King. Although he’s my favourite author, my trip down re-reading lane is getting annoying. I might delve into Game of Thrones just for the lols.
I see you have 369 books on your GR TBR pile. That’s mental, no wonder it stresses you out.
yea, I don’t own all of those thank goodnesss, a lot are I wish to read it someday. BUT I don’t have all the books from my shelves on that list either. Blergh.
I have been wanting to read a King book lately, I havent read many and I know I am missing out.
I recommend going with 11.22.63. It’s King’s latest book, and a very good one too.
Although he’s known as a horror writer, it isn’t a horror story at all.
I need to go by the library for volunteer reasons, if they have it I am picking it up. Thanks! 🙂
Let me chime in on this thread. I am a SK fan also and I think 11/22/63 is a fabulous read. So many people think they can’t handle his ‘horror’ but he has written some amazing books that have surprised people when they find out are written by him. i.e. The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption to name a few. I think 11/22/63 is up there as one of his best works.
Here’s my WWW.
I love to have a couple of books going at the same time. This week I’m into Bill Bryson’s book on the history of English in America and a book on Yoga. Kind of an interesting mix.
I have a Bryson book on Shakespeare I want to read soon, what hasn’t he written about!?
Language and yoga, quite a good mix I would say! 🙂
Wednesday crept up on me too. I hate it when life gets in the way of the real priorities. Happy reading.
right?! Dang life and responsibilities 🙂
Wow, I’m an SK fan also, will have to get that book
Real life really does get in the way sometimes! Hope you have more chance to read this week!
I’ll add to the SK fans of 11/22/63! I couldn’t put it down. Happy reading!
The library had it! Tho I gave it to my mom to read first, I will be picking it up soon! So excited 🙂
Ahhhh, Infinity!!! Even with the writing throwing you off I hope you enjoy it. I have it but have yet to get to it. But I love Kenyon books.
I saw Michael’s comment (that he’s re-reading The Dead Zone) and I think it must be Stephen King week, because I feel like getting into Stephen King this week as well. All my books are still in packing boxes, so I’ve been going around the second hand stores trying to find me some ‘King’ 😀
That should be fun and kind of random, let us know what you pick up 🙂
