Frivolous Friday – June 7th

IMG_8342Happy Friday friends and family!

A couple weeks ago I played tourist while in New York and brought my camera with me while wandering Chinatown, Canal Street and SoHo.  I didn’t take too many pictures but one thing I noticed is that the street carts now carry cupcakes!  And they look pretty dang good too.  Forgive me, but I gave up most sugar a while ago so I didn’t try one, but they looked amazing…especially for off of a street cart.  But I think because I wouldn’t let myself eat one, I took their picture. Weird, but it worked.  🙂

I am actually glad I don’t have one of these carts laying in wait outside my building, the siren song of those cupcakes might break through every once in a while if I saw them every day!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

About ocdreader

I love to read! I always have a book or four going, I have more books in my to-be-read pile than I can read in a year and yet I continue to haunt the bookstores. I have a problem, but I somehow soldier on. I enjoy talking books, so pass on your recommendations and thoughts - I would love to hear them.

  1. What a fun post! Made me smile 🙂 ‘the siren song of the cupcakes’…punch line that 😉 I’m glad I’m not into sweets!! In my case, the siren call of chips would be my downfall 😛

    Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
