WWW Wednesday 10/9

Happy Wednesday!  I missed last week because I was burning the candle at both ends with my family and coming down with a cold.  But I am back, a little later than I normally am but playing along with MizB from Should Be Reading.  What are you all reading this week?

So this week I finished a couple of things.  Shadowlands, the first mediator book by Meg Cabot which was a cute paranormal YA book and I totally enjoyed it.  Suze is 16, sees ghosts and has to deal with a pissy cheerleader ghost hellbent on revenge, silly and fun and great for when your head is foggy with ick.  I also just finished Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues by Diana Rowland, the second book in that series.  Things are heating up and Angel is making herself better, there are zombie politics and life is crazy, I had a great time reading it.

I am currently reading Half Way Home by Hugh Howey, where a human colony on a distant planet has to deal with being half finished before almost destroyed.  Lord of the Flies on another planet? Not sure but it is really good so far.  I also just picked up Cinder by Marissa Meyer.  I am only one or two chapters in so I don’t have much of an impression yet except I want to keep reading, so that is good!

Next up I have a few things I am thinking of reading, Perdition by Ann Aguirre, another outer space romp and maybe Will Grayson, Will Grayson, but honestly I am not sure!

What are you guys reading this week?

About ocdreader

I love to read! I always have a book or four going, I have more books in my to-be-read pile than I can read in a year and yet I continue to haunt the bookstores. I have a problem, but I somehow soldier on. I enjoy talking books, so pass on your recommendations and thoughts - I would love to hear them.

  1. I’m working my way through yet another utterly fascinating WWII book! This one is about William Dodd, who was made the US ambassador to Germany in 1933. Neither he, nor his family, have any idea about Hitler and why people don’t like the Nazis. It’s almost comical reading.

No, I think this story is a stand alone. I have Wool to read too, but this one was loaned to me, so I want to get it back 🙂

Oh, good. I haven’t been at all interested in the Wool books but this might be a way for me to check him out without having to read something written in series.

  11. I am glad you are enjoying your books. I have admit that I just can’t get into zombie books. I know zombies are really popular right now, but no thanks. 🙂 Happy reading!

  12. Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues is a great title! I read Cinder a few months ago and liked it. I think I gave it 4 stars. I still haven’t read Scarlet, though.
